BCW Global star duo win UK PRCA Next Generation PR World Cup

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is pleased to announce that Olivia Rawal and Fiona Baird from BCW Global have won the UK PRCA Next Generation PR World Cup competition for their ‘1 in 1’ campaign. The duo will go on to represent the UK at the International ICCO Next Generation PR World Cup 2022.

Responding to a brief set by Worldwide Cancer Research, teams had 24 hours to create a campaign. The winning idea, ‘1 in 1’, was born from the insight that every single person will be touched by cancer at some stage in their lives, whether directly or indirectly. The team wanted to use this statistic to develop a campaign that raises awareness of the fact that cancer is a shared problem.

Olivia Rawal said:

“We are both so delighted to have the opportunity to represent the UK at the ICCO Next Generation PR World Cup 2022. We thoroughly enjoyed working together on a brief so close to our hearts and are really looking forward to the next stage!”

Fiona Baird said:

“We absolutely loved working together to respond to this brief; it touched us both as we could relate to it on a personal level. Thank you again for this brilliant opportunity – looking forward to the next stage!”

Commenting on the winning pair, Judge Rachel Flynn, PR Officer at Worldwide Cancer Research, said:

"We had some brilliant submissions in response to our brief, seeing our charity’s brand and #Curestarter message brought to life, but the winning duo’s entry was incredible. Their campaign was emotive, intelligent, and achievable. I loved it!”
