Phishing scams – PRCA member notice

We’ve been made aware of fraudulent organisations using the PRCA’s name as part of phishing scams.

In the past few weeks members and non-members have received emails inviting them to purchase ‘PRCA Contact lists’. These emails are used as a pretext for scams. The PRCA always handles data with integrity and never sells member data to third parties.

The PRCA has reported these incidents to the relevant authorities. Members receiving such emails should not respond and should report any suspicious emails to report@phishing.gov.uk to allow the National Cyber Security Centre to investigate. If anyone has responded to these emails with personal details, they should file a report immediately with Action Fraudor call them on 0300 123 2040.
