PRCA Africa Announces Partnership with PRovoke Media for South Africa Conference 2026 and African SABRE Awards
The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Africa has today announced its partnership with PRovoke Media for the PRCA South Africa Conference 2026 and the African SABRE Awards.
The PRCA South Africa Conference is PRCA Africa’s flagship event, bringing together leading voices from across the public relations and communications industry to share insight, foster collaboration, and shape the future of the profession across the continent. The inaugural conference took place in Cape Town in January 2025, attracting senior professionals, in-house leaders, and agency experts from across Africa and beyond.
The 2026 conference will take place in Johannesburg in March 2026 and will once again provide a platform for the industry to explore the latest trends, tackle shared challenges, and celebrate excellence in communications. The event will be held in partnership with PRovoke Media and will feature the African SABRE Awards, one of the most respected awards programmes recognising outstanding campaigns and communications achievements across Africa.
The African SABRE Awards, which will take place on one of the evenings during the conference, are open to all professionals and organisations. With over 25 years of recognising excellence, the Awards recognise campaigns that demonstrate the highest levels of strategic planning, creativity, and business results.
By incorporating the Awards into the conference programme, delegates will have the opportunity to combine high-level learning and networking with a celebration of the continent’s most successful work. Meanwhile, the open invitation to the Awards ensures the recognition of excellence reaches far beyond the conference floor.
Sarah Waddington CBE, PRCA CEO, said:
"This partnership with PRovoke Media marks an exciting next chapter for PRCA Africa and the South African Conference. By combining our flagship event with the prestige of the African SABRE Awards, we’re creating a unique platform to showcase world-class communications, foster cross-continental collaboration, and inspire the next generation of PR leaders across Africa. It’s all part of our mission to strengthen the value we provide to members so it’s great to see this come to life."
PRovoke Media Founder and CEO, Paul Holmes, said:
“PRovoke Media and the PRCA share a common mission, providing knowledge and insight to public relations professionals in markets around the world, and celebrating best practices in modern public relations. The African SABRE Awards provide a platform for practitioners across the continent to gain recognition on a global stage.”
