PRCA names new Heads of Public Affairs, Communications and Apprenticeships

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has today announced the promotion of three professionals within its team:

  • Louise Whatham has been promoted from Senior Public Affairs and Policy Manager to Head of Public Affairs. In her new role, Louise will lead PRCA’s public affairs strategy, working closely with policymakers, industry leaders, and members to support ethical lobbying and the highest standards in public affairs.
  • Gabriela Weiss Clarke has moved from Communications Manager to Head of Communications. Gabriela will spearhead PRCA’s global communications strategy, ensuring clear, impactful messaging that develops the association’s brand, engages its members, and drives awareness of key industry initiatives.
  • Georgia Elston has been promoted to Head of Apprenticeships and Early Careers. In this role, Georgia will oversee PRCA’s efforts to support and develop emerging talent within the industry, ensuring strong apprenticeship programmes and early career initiatives that drive professional growth and inclusivity. Georgia was a key part of the team that saw the PRCA’s Apprenticeships scheme recently named Ofsted Outstanding. She has also just been named as one of the Women in Trade Associations 30 under 30 Future Leaders.

These promotions reflect PRCA’s commitment to recognising and nurturing talent within its ranks, ensuring strong leadership to advance the association’s mission of championing professional excellence in public relations, communications and public affairs.

PRCA Interim CEO Sarah Waddington CBE said:

“Louise, Gabriela and Georgia have each earned these leadership positions. They have demonstrated expertise, dedication, and strategic thinking in their respective fields and real commitment to the PRCA. As we continue to expand our influence globally, their leadership will be instrumental in driving forward our public affairs, communications and apprenticeships agenda.”
