Shape your PR sector in 2023 – Become a PRCA Group Chair/Committee member

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is inviting ambitious and driven PR practitioners to join one of its sector Groups in 2023 as a chair or committee member.

The 22 available leadership positions are open to PRCA members who are keen to leave their mark on their professional sector, drive professional standards and foster a community of best-practice and networking. What are we looking for in our Chairs?

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ A commitment to the PRCA’s mission to drive professional and ethical standards.

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ A willingness to devote the necessary time and effort.

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Strategic vision.

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Good, independent judgement.

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ An ability to think creatively.

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ An understanding and acceptance of the duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of the groups.

• ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Committee members must:

  • Be ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ a PRCA member.
  • Be ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ knowledgeable and experienced in their respective sector, either as a ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ professional or volunteer.
  • Consider ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ the best interests of the entire Group.
  • Be ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ willing and able to give a significant amount of their time while on the ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ committee.
